Elliott

We got back in the car and drove 2 more hours to Elliott.  Elliott used to be a booming
Mining town.  They even had a chapel here.  Now the mine is closed down and not
Much left of the town.  We drove until we saw this sign and then had to turn around
Because this was it!
This is the old Chapel, which is now a library.
It was such a joy to find these valiant wonderful members of the church who were so
Thankful to be able to partake of the Sacrament after a very long time. Once we found
A member they just kept telling us more and more people to go find because “they will
Want to come!” So we took our time and found all of these sweet sisters who were
Baptized a few short years ago. Their grandfather was the first member of the church
Here.  They all belong to the Bill family.
they were kind enough to let us hold church in this building where they sometimes
Have gatherings.
After church this sweet lady asked for a Priesthood blessing.
As well as this gorgeous little girl.
Sister Anderson brought enough food to feed all of us several times.  Thank you so
Much Sister Anderson!
Sister ANderson getting everyone to write down their names and numbers so we can
Contact them when missionaries come to hold Sacrament Meeting again.  President
Parker promised them that they would have missionaries soon.
After goodbyes, we were back in the car again.  Only 7 more hours Elders!!  Could
We love these 2 any more?!?!?
Stopping for a dinner break on the ride back to Alice Springs. Enjoying “humpty-buggers
From Elder and Sister Anderson-delicious!
The pictures don’t do it justice, but the clouds were amazing going home!  We just
Kept taking pictures but they were sooooo beautiful! Except for the time President Parker
Had to swerve to miss a couple of cows, and the time he had to swerve to miss a
Kangaroo, we made it home safely about 1:00 am.  A great and marvelous day never to
Be forgotten. Heavenly Father knows where each of His children are...even if they are
In the middle of the Outback in Australia in a little town called Elliott!

Tenant Creek

What a blessing to hold a Sacrament Meeting with these wonderful members and
Investigators.  We so enjoyed gettting to know each of them.  They have waited
A long time to be able to partake of the Sacrament.  Thank you for all those who
Attended and joined with us this day.  We love you.
Church was held in the CWA Building. (Country Woman’s Association).  They are such
Wonderful people and we so appreciate them letting us hold church here.
Two birthdays today so Elder Anderson and Jamie got to celebrate together. Sister
Anderson brought a beautiful Pavlova for all of us to share.
Enjoying some lunch together after Sacrament Meeting thanks to Sister Anderson.
We sure love this beautiful family.  And these children know how to be so reverent.
Junior and Elder Pickett. Juniors beautiful family are from Alice Springs but are now
Here in Tenant Creek for work.
His beautiful wife  Jamie and gorgeous daughter.
The Marsh’s are learning about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  We
Were so grateful we got to know them as they learn and begin to read the Book of
Mormon. A wonderful couple!
Visiting with new friends. Thank you to all those who came and enjoyed a wonderful
Sabbath Day with us. We love you all.

Tenant Creek and Elliott

This is Elder Pickett and Elder Mattie.  They were lucky enough to ride with us and
Elder and Sister Anderson the 5 hours to Tenant Creek.  When we arrived in alice
Springs to pick up our rental car, it was way smaller than we had hoped.  We tried to
Get a bigger car but every car from every car rental company was already booked.
So these Elders, who never murmured once, rode 5 hours like this, crunched in the
Back with absolutely no room for their legs and their heads touching the ceiling of
The car. This is going to be an adventure!!!Love you Elders!
Needed  a rest stop so we got out and enjoyed seeing Devils Marbles.  Out in the middle
Of the Outback these huge rocks are looking like they just got poured out of a marble can.

I think this is the one and only tree for miles!
Next pit stop was this Telegraph Station.
Arrived at the Blue Stone Motel in Tenant Creek just in time for the most unbelievable
Rain, thunder and lightening storm! That didn’t stop these Elders!  While we checked
In to the motel, they disappeared and were out inviting everyone to come to church
Tomorrow.
Going two by two, in the rain, these missionaries our out inviting all to attend church in the
Morning.
Knocking on doors and looking for members so they can attend Sacrament Meeting.
Elder Anderson who drove the whole way, and President Parker.
Found a great restaurant called “Sporty’s” to have a special birthday dinner for Elder Anderson
ITs not every day you get to celebrate your birthday in the middle of the Outback in
Tenant Creek! We love you Elder and Sister Anderson.  Happy birthday!

Zone Conference

Bright and early Friday morning, Feb. 23rd we flew with the assistants to Alice Springs
And went straight to the church to begin Zone conference with these wonderful missionaries!
Elder Ostraff, Elder Shortland, Elder Fangaiuiha, Sister Marshall, Sister Lotulelei,
Sister Anderson, Elder Anderson, Elder Green, Elder Duckworth and Elder Mattie.
These 2 great assistants to the President, Elder Pickett and Elder Miller gave some great
Training all morning on thrusting in our sickle and teaching us how to reap the harvest!
The airport in Alice Springs reminds me of days gone by in the States when you exited off
An airplane like this instead of walking into a huge terminal.  Here we still walk down the
Steps and onto the tarmac to enter the airport.  There  is no place in the world like Alice
Springs!  An amazing place!
After morning training, Elder  and Sister Anderson spoiled us again with a great feed!
Elder Anderson grilled some delicious burgers on the grill!
Complete with the fried eggs to put on the burgers-Aussie style!
Incredible Alice Springs sister missionaries!  Sister Lotulelei and Sister Marshall.
the Lords best!
Elder Fangaiuiha and Elder Shortland! Again....Two of the best!
Bush Elders-Elder Ostraff and Elder Duckworth!  These 2 are used to eating kangaroo
And lizard and who knows what else, but they are happy here to have a regular
Hamburger!
Elder Mattie and Elder Green!  these two are making miracles happen in Amoongana
And the Lyndavale area.
I think its time to celebrate somebody’s birthday.......
We love  this great missionary and his dear companion. They come with great
Talent, experiences, wisdom and testimonies that are blessing so many in the Alice
Springs zone. Wishing Elder Anderson a very happy birthday! A great day with these
Amazing missionaries.  They are obedient.  They are diligent and they are consecrated.
And because of this, they are being blessed to find those who are prepared to hear the
Great message we share.

Arrivers Training/Brand New Missionary!

Its a beautiful day in Adelaide and what makes it even better?  Picking up a new
Missionary!  Meet Elder Didkovskyi. Our first missionary from Ukraine! He is ready
To go and his English is great!  We are so thankful to have him here1
Waiting for the lift!
Some quick introductions at the mission office before we took Elder Didkovskyi with
Us to Arrivers Training #2 so he could have a good lunch and meet some missionaries!
His new trainers will be here soon!   Welcome Elder  Didkovskyi!  We love you!
Arrivers Training #2 with this great group of missionaries.  Approximately 2 weeks after
Missionaries arrive, we gather them with their trainers and spend some time training
And following up on how their training is going.  We use the great book Adjusting
To Missionary Life and enjoy getting to know each other better and learning how to
Become better Missionaries for the Lord. Sister Fau and Sister Afualo. Elder Pinto,
