Tenant Creek and Elliott

This is Elder Pickett and Elder Mattie.  They were lucky enough to ride with us and
Elder and Sister Anderson the 5 hours to Tenant Creek.  When we arrived in alice
Springs to pick up our rental car, it was way smaller than we had hoped.  We tried to
Get a bigger car but every car from every car rental company was already booked.
So these Elders, who never murmured once, rode 5 hours like this, crunched in the
Back with absolutely no room for their legs and their heads touching the ceiling of
The car. This is going to be an adventure!!!Love you Elders!
Needed  a rest stop so we got out and enjoyed seeing Devils Marbles.  Out in the middle
Of the Outback these huge rocks are looking like they just got poured out of a marble can.

I think this is the one and only tree for miles!
Next pit stop was this Telegraph Station.
Arrived at the Blue Stone Motel in Tenant Creek just in time for the most unbelievable
Rain, thunder and lightening storm! That didn’t stop these Elders!  While we checked
In to the motel, they disappeared and were out inviting everyone to come to church
Tomorrow.
Going two by two, in the rain, these missionaries our out inviting all to attend church in the
Morning.
Knocking on doors and looking for members so they can attend Sacrament Meeting.
Elder Anderson who drove the whole way, and President Parker.
Found a great restaurant called “Sporty’s” to have a special birthday dinner for Elder Anderson
ITs not every day you get to celebrate your birthday in the middle of the Outback in
Tenant Creek! We love you Elder and Sister Anderson.  Happy birthday!
